10 Year Anniversary Celebration
and
Fundraising Dinner

Key Points:

  • Registering and paying for the Anniversary Dinner is on the Norwich Homecoming page at: https://www.norwich.edu/special-events-and-traditions/homecoming
    • Select the appropriate Alumni Class button on the above page. If you are not part of a class reunion year or a non-alumni, just click the “Registration for Class Years Not Ending in 4/9” and register that way in order to pay for the dinner.
  • The Fundraising Dinner will be the Thursday before Homecoming starts.
  • This event is a FUNDRAISER – 100% of the money we raise goes into Service Projects and Scholarships!
  • Apps & cocktail/cash bar + Buffet dinner. Cost per person is $100
  • The event is intended to include spouses, all NU veterans and other Legion members
  • Dinner tickets will be purchased through the Norwich Alumni Homecoming Portal online
  • All other fundraising tickets will be purchased through the American Legion Post 1819 website
  • Guest speaker is BG Tracey Poirier, NU ’96 – the first female promoted to the rank of Brigadier General in the history of the Vermont Army National Guard.

Special fundraising items include:

  • One-time Etched bottles from 10th Mountain Distillery $100 per bottle (Rye Whiskey and Bourbon bottles – pre-order). NOTE: we will NOT ship these bottles. You have to pre-order them so we have the correct quantity to have made and then you will pick them up at the Anniversary dinner. You can always pack them in your checked bag if you are flying, but sending these in the mail is too difficult and not every state allows alcohol to be shipped to it.
  • American Legion Challenge Coins $20
  • Raffle for a chance to win a Custom Henry Rifle with Norwich University Seal, Brass Side Gate .30-30 (Model H009BG) – $50 for a ticket

There will be Bourbon and Rye Whiskey bottles etched with our American Legion logo and verbiage for the 10 Year Anniversary. The bottles and design will be similar to this. NOTE: we will NOT ship these bottles. You have to pre-order them so we have the correct quantity to have made and then you will pick them up at the Anniversary dinner. You can always pack them in your checked bag if you are flying, but sending these in the mail is too difficult and not every state allows alcohol to be shipped to it.

  • Drawing will be held on Saturday September 21, 2024 at the Annual Meeting.
    • Note: The winner will need to complete the necessary FFL forms with their local FFL dealer and R&L Archery in Barre, VT will ship the rifle to that dealer. Shipping from R&L Archery is covered, but there may be a small receiving charge from your local FFL dealer.
